Why Wonder when you can WaterBear!

At WaterBear, we’ve developed a Build-for-Life System we call “WaterBear”.
It consists of multiple lines of products with names such as “LifeWall, “LifeSiding”, “LifeDecking”, “WaterBearier” “LifeFencing” and Outdoor “LifeFurniture”. With these products you can protect your home from the ground up. Actually, from underneath the ground up. Our system, or parts of our system, can be retrofitted to existing homes or start fresh out the gate by building with our WaterBear System.
At WaterBear, we take the wondering out of construction or “Why Wonder when you can “WaterBear” your house”.
Why the name “WaterBear”?
“Tardigrade” Inspired
Answer: We like Waterbears, (Tardigrades) because they are invincible, survive everything and the most indestructible species on planet earth, possibly the universe. and who could resist that face? Often the best man-made materials imitate nature. We strive to learn from and imitate the Waterbear’s strength, endurance and longevity.
As long as the sun shines, the hardy tardigrade will carry on!
The world’s most indestructible species — a stout, microscopic animal with four pairs of legs, known as the water bear or tardigrade — will survive until the sun dies, according to new research from Oxford University and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA).
Tardigrade may be little but they are the toughest form of life on Earth. The water-dwelling micro-animals are known to be able to live for up to 30 years without food or water. They can endure temperatures of up to 150 degrees Celsius, the deep sea, and the frozen vacuum of space.
And they can even survive the risk of extinction from cosmic catastrophes — asteroids, supernovas, gamma ray bursts — and likely last for at least 10 billion years, far longer than the human race, according to the new study published in Scientific Reports.
